The Hartselle community will come together to honor the lives of Bryleigh Grace Pledger and Brynleigh Nell Pledger, two beloved young sisters whose passing has left an unimaginable void in the hearts of their family and friends. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the First Methodist Church in Hartselle, with Pastor Jon Henderson officiating. Burial will follow at Hartselle Memory Gardens. Visitation will take place from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the church on the same day.
Born on February 26, 2019, in Madison County to Shawn Tyler Pledger and Ashley Dawn Hagood, Bryleigh and Brynleigh were inseparable from the start. Bryleigh Grace Pledger passed away on April 11, 2026, and Brynleigh Nell Pledger joined her in Heaven just a few days later, leaving the family to grieve the loss of two cherished daughters in a heartbreak that words cannot fully capture. The sisters are also joined in death by their loving mother and big brother, Bryant Christopher Ballew.
They are survived by their father, Tyler Pledger (Miranda), four brothers—Bentley Pledger, Layton Culbert, Bentley Culbert, and Mason Culbert—and a sister, Everleigh Culbert. They were also loved deeply by grandparents Jimmie Ballew (Robin), Skip Pledger (Menica), and Chris Hagood, as well as great-grandmother Janice Gohn.
Pallbearers for the service will include Jessie Downs, Dennis Freeman, Michael Wyatt, and Layton Culbert, who will carry their memory with honor.
The community remembers Bryleigh and Brynleigh for their joyful spirits, the love they shared with family, and the profound impact they made in their brief time on Earth. Their story is a poignant reminder of the preciousness of life and the enduring bonds of family and love. Family, friends, and neighbors are invited to attend the service to pay their respects and offer comfort to the grieving family.
